Dr. Joel Trinidad is a therapeutic optometrist and certified optometric glaucoma specialist who is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized eye care to his patients. Originally from Watertown, Wisconsin, he moved to Southwest Texas at a young age and is proud to serve the community he now calls home. Dr. Trinidad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Rosenberg School of Optometry at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, in 2018.

Dr. Trinidad received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease through clinical rotations at the William V. Chappell Jr. Multi-specialty Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida, as well as at the Eye Centers of South Florida clinic in Miami, FL. There, he worked alongside ophthalmologists and other specialists, gaining experience in surgical and comprehensive eye care including cataract surgery, refractive corneal surgery, retinal disease management, and cosmetic eye surgery procedures.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Trinidad enjoys international travel and learning about different cultures. He also values spending time outdoors and staying active through recreational sports, with pickleball and sand volleyball among his favorites. He believes that building genuine connections with patients is an important part of delivering high-quality, compassionate eye care.
