Dr. Jack Tian is a renown specialist, focusing his expertise on Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), Cataract surgery, and Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL). His educational journey began with a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of California. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, laying a solid foundation for his future in medical innovation.

Completing his Ophthalmology surgical training at the Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester, recognized as the nation’s leading optics institute, Dr. Tian honed his skills under the tutelage of Dr. Scott Macrae, M.D. Dr. Macrae is celebrated as a pioneer and a leading authority in the field of refractive surgery, providing Dr. Tian with invaluable insights and knowledge. Dr. Tian leverages cutting-edge technologies to enhance his patients’ vision, contributing significantly to the advancement of the field by developing new devices and refining surgical techniques.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Tian leads a full and vibrant life. His is an avid hiker, often found exploring nature trails with his wife and sons. A lover of music, he spends time creating melodies and teaching others the joy of music. His zest for life is also evident in his love for travel, home renovation projects, and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. Dr. Tian dedicates a substantial amount of his time to community service, enriching his community by actively participating in various outreach programs. Additionally, he imparts his knowledge and experience to aspiring Ophthalmologists as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington, guiding resident doctors towards excellence in their medical careers.
